1001 daysvictory season

It’s a panel discussion on “Sports Stories” with my old buddy Ted Cox, former proprietor of the Reader‘s “Sports Section,” who has just published a collection of his best columns titled 1,001 Days in the Bleachers: A Quarter Century of Chicago Sports,  and Robert Weintraub, whose latest is The Victory Season: The End of World War II and the Birth of Baseball’s Golden Age. Tim Bannon, sports editor of the Tribune, will moderate, and though I hesitate to speak for the other guys, I feel pretty safe in saying that we’ll all be hawking and signing books afterwards.
